Notre Dame de Paris, one of the most iconic Gothic cathedrals in the world, was built between 1163 and 1345 under the direction of Bishop Maurice de Sully. Each year, it attracts around 12 million visitors, making it one of the most visited monuments in France. After the fire on April 15, 2019, Notre-Dame de Paris was closed to visitors. On December 7, 2024, a reopening ceremony was held, and as of December 8, the cathedral has resumed its function following a Sunday mass. The full restoration is expected to be completed by 2029–2030.
